Hair Cutting Time!

We did hair cuts this week.  Here are two of the girls getting theirs done.  I forgot to take a picture of the other two.  Sorry.  But Lauren and Alyson sure do look cute with their new hair cuts.  Okay they look the exact same, I just took the ends off that got sun damage during the summer.

Maegan Practicing her Handwriting!

Maegan is pictured here practicing her handwriting.  Her teacher has asked her to slow down and write a little more legibly, so we are having her practice that every night.  It is getting better.  In fact, if she would always just think about it, she has rather good handwriting.  She just likes to hurry and get it down and doesn't take her time to make the letters correctly.  Until the time she decides to slow down and write a little nicer, she will be practicing everyday.

Robyn's First Big Test!

Today at school Robyn had a big test and she passed with flying colors.  In class they have been reading one of the Mr. Putter and Tabby books.  The one they are been reading is about how Mr. Putter was lonely and decided to get a cat so he could tell his stories to someone.  And so he could eat English Muffins and Drink English Tea in the afternoon with someone too.  So... this week they finished the book, and to help go over part of what they learned they had English Muffins and Tea for their afternoon snack.  Robyn told me that she said she didn't want to have any and the teacher said "Robyn, you should really try it, it is really good!" and Robyn still said "No, I don't want to try it."  So then the teacher asked anyone who was not going to have any to stand up so she could count.  Robyn was one of three girls in her class that stood and said they wouldn't have any, out of 27 students.  This may not seem that big of a deal, but it really was.  When she told me about it she started to cry and said "It's too hard being the oldest."  I asked her what she meant and she told me that it was hard being good so that her sisters would be good too.  She didn't like that the teacher made her stand up infront of the whole class to say she wasn't going to try the tea.  She was embarrassed by it.  BUT She still stood by what she knew was right and said NO to what she knew she shouldn't partake in.
THANK YOU ROBYN for showing us all how to be strong and brave.  No matter if we think it is embarrassing, or if everyone else is doing it, we need to be strong.  Even when someone who we think is there to help us, like her teacher, is trying to get us to do something that we know deep down we shouldn't be doing, we need to stand strong and do what we know is the right thing to do.
Let this, Robyn's little example, help us remember what we truly believe, so that we can all pass our tests too.

Robyn Playing Pool!

We went to the community center today and Robyn wanted to play pool.  It looked so cute I had to take some pictures.  Look at that cute face.

I guess I need to teach her how to hold the cue and everything now.
(Look at cute Lauren peeking over the table)

How about These APPLES!!!

I went shopping the other day and when we got home I asked Alyson to carry the bag of apples inside for me.  When I finished unloading the van Lauren was sitting on the chair holding the bad of apples, so I thought.  Then I looked closer and I saw her chewing on the bag.  I took it away and she had bitten out of 7 of the 9 apples that were in the bag.  You'd think I was starving her to death?   I did let her finish one of them.  Good thing I got two bags of apples. : )

Florida Vacation

This summer we went to Florida for a week and a half. We played on the beach almost every day. Here are some pictures of all the girls at the beach! They loved playing in the water and making lots of sandcastles. The two oldest even would go in the water with tubes and float, then ride the waves back into the beach. It was so much fun.

Parade Day

This summer we went to a parade for the 4th of July. They all absolutely loved it. We did get there a little early and the parade lasted almost 2 hours and the girls did get a little tired, so they were taking a break from the candy chasing and I knew it was a perfect photo opp. Aren't they Cute???

Starting a Blog FINALLY!!

My family has all been after me for a while to start a blog so that they can know what is going on easier and see pictures of my cute little girls. So......finally I decided to get busy and get it done.

So here is a picture of my four beautiful girls in their new aprons their Grandma made them for their birthdays this year. They use them all the time to help me cook or just pretend to cook themselves.
